Dirty Dozen Part 1

Since today is 11/11/11 and apparently people are rushing to get married on such a special day, I thought for my first post we should look forward into 2012. Specifically, into my 2012 New Years Resolutions, aka “The Dirty Dozen”.

To review, my 2011 NYR were to run 5 – 5ks and to learn to cook. For the most part, I have completed these 2 resolutions. I will provide recaps of my 2011 races in future posts. However, I will for now say that I did complete that resolution!

As for the “learn to cook” resolution…. I can kind of cook. There are some recipes I can read and follow with no problems. Other recipes, I get tired just reading the recipe. For example: My mom’s delicious Pork Fried Rice. I got overwhelmed just reading through the ingredients list! However, the beauty of not living at home, I can request meals on some of my visits!

Since I still have over a month before I officially have to claim my 2012 New Years Resolutions, here is the beginning of my Dirty Dozen.

#1 Run a half marathon

#2 Learn 12 new recipes

#3 Put my college pictures into photo albums

#4 Create a race scrapbook

#5 Make 12 time or money donations to various charities and/or nonprofits.

#6 Learn to blog!

Some of these I have started (obviously), but I still need a few more resolutions! Has anyone else started thinking of what they want to focus on for 2012? Do you have any suggestions for me?
