Lesson Learned: I’ll Do My Best.

I hope your week is going well! Can you believe only 4 days ago we were watching the Super Bowl?!?

Sunday I hosted a small gathering at my house. It was decided on my first ever drive to Wisconsin for beer (Minnesota doesn’t sell beer on Sundays, but our neighbors do!) Sitting there watching the game, enjoying the company of other people and telling stories from the weekend I was so happy to think back on how last year I watched the Super Bowl alone. It felt good to know that my life has changed for a the positive since last year.

Monday came and went in the usual boring Monday fashion. Tuesday was normal, until it wasn’t. My car was hit while I was in it, and as a result I’m in a rental car, and have some soreness. Nothing huge, but still a pain. Multiple times I have logged in to wordpress trying to figure out how I would blog about everything going on. But I didn’t know how to formulate my thoughts. And then I read this post titled “You Can Have It All, Just Not All at Once”on Sparkpeople. And suddenly I knew what I wanted to blog about.

As I started reading the article all I could think was “this isn’t fair.” Of course this is written from a woman’s perspective, and this particular woman doesn’t even have kids and is still overwhelmed by everything that has to be done in a day. This is just like me, and I am screwed.

Thankfully everything started to sound better. Basically, no one is perfect, and as long as you do your best, you will be just fine. And with that in mind, I’m going to take out the trash, and maybe get some dishes done. Because as long as I’m doing my best, it will all be okay.

  1. I’m from Wisconsin and went to college in MN – where we spent many nights making the border crossing after 10 pm to buy beer that wasn’t 3.2! Ah fond memories 🙂
