Better Than None

Today did not quite go as planned, although it did all come out okay in the end. I was able to complete a project that I am presenting tomorrow. I finished on schedule, but the weather was not on my side. I was hoping to get my long run in while the presentation was at the printers. I had thrown in the towel on officially kicking off my Runner’s World Streak. There have been periodic storms that keep coming through and the weather will go from sunny to thunder and lightening to torrential rain at the drop of a hat. The last thing I wanted was to go for a long run and either get sick or injured.

After dinner I did decide that it was time to go for a walk and at least get a mile in to keep with the streak. I ended up running an errand and managed to get 3 miles total! It really is the little things that make a difference. One is better than none, but three is even better.

With that, I would like to thank the men and women who have served, are currently serving, or will serve our military in the future.

I am now going to watch The American President on Netflix and get ready for my 4 am wake up call.

  1. It seems you always feel better when you make yourself get out there and just do it (when it comes to exercise). Good luck with your presentation – 4AM – yikes!
