Ripped in 30: Week 1 Recap

Happy Friday! Today is one of my rest days for my new workout program: Jillian Michaels Ripped In 30, but I thought I should take the time to update you on how I’m doing.

I have mentioned a few times in my posts that I needed a program to get me back into exercise. There have been plenty of workout ideas that I have started, but haven’t really followed through with them. I am very proud to say that I have now broken that cycle with 1 week of working out!

I’ll be honest, the beginning of the week was tough, for a 24 minute workout it felt like an hour!!! The program has 3 circuits which each contain 3 minutes of strength, 2 minutes of cardio, and 1 minute of abs. This style keeps things interesting and keeps me from getting bored. The first couple days were painful, I couldn’t do most of the moves and got tired easily. The key to come back was even if I couldn’t do the moves as good as the models on the screen, I did what I could and kept going.

By Thursday I was able to do most of the workout. I still can’t do everything but hopefully the remaining three weeks will make me stronger and I’ll be able to keep the smile on my face!
