I had a lot of trouble falling asleep after posting on Thursday night. I tossed and turned, and I think I got 4.5 hours of sleep. My alarm went off bright and early at 5:30 am I drank a cup of coffee in the room and made my way to the lobby to meet my Flapjack Friday group.
I had 2 lovely women join me in running the 1 mile to Mill City Running store, from there we joined them in a 2 mile loop before enjoying pancakes with other runners. They were all locals who were confused how a girl from Northern MN, Wisconsin and Oregon all made it to their run group, so we briefly explained that we were here for the Healthy Living Summit.
(In case you don’t know what the Healthy Living Summit is…bloggers from around the US are gathering in Minneapolis for a weekend of networking, socializing and learning about blogging).
Once we got back to the hotel I had 20 minutes to get ready for the Wild Harvest Tour.
In the next week or so I’ll explain Wild Harvest in greater detail, but I do want to say a big THANK YOU to them for being the Gold sponsor of HLS13!
I was finally able to meet Hyedi during the tour, and then we picked up two of my roomies for lunch at Sandcastle, and the view was amazing!
Since it was a Friday at noon, the traffic was easy and there wasn’t a huge crowd.
I had the bison flatbread, which was basically a taco bowl. I had the hardest time ordering, and would have loved to try everything.
From lunch we went to round table discussions, and had the hardest workout ever with the ladies from Lifetime Fitness. They did an insanity workout, which is totally not my style. But it was great to try out for free!
Emily, Me, Marissa, and Emily. I could not have asked for better roommates! We all enjoy country music and have had a great time getting to know each other. We don’t cling to each other, but we flow naturally in the group, it is seriously perfect.
Now I’m off to more Healthy Living Summit adventures! I hope I get to meet you if I haven’t already!
