Maximizing Your Holiday Time

The Holiday season is reaching its maximum and it seems like everyone has plans and is going going going. So this morning I’ve got some advice for how to maximize your time!

  1.  Schedule
  2. Supplies
  3. Sleep
  4. Switch
  5. Support

Schedule: we all only have so many days of vacation. Personally I’m on taking Christmas day off. Which means if I want to spend time with friends, I need to squeeze it in around the weekends or evenings.

Supplies: I picked up a 12 pack of beer and 2 bottles of wine. I don’t have plans on entertaining at my house, but its always nice to have a little cushion just in case. Also, I highly recommend the Leinenkugel’s Snowdrift Vanilla Porter, super delicious! (not an ad, I really like it).

Sleep: in order to do all the activities you want, you will need sleep, make sure you find a few nights that you aren’t out crazy late, or a day that you can sleep in just a little longer.

Switch: If you really want to do something, be willing to switch up your normal routine just a little bit. I’m actually typing this on Sunday afternoon, I came into the office to get a little work done so I can go to Happy Hour on Monday night!

Support: Even if you can’t be with your friends and attend each event you want to, text them and wish them a Merry Christmas, and plan a time in January when life is boring that you can get together!

What tricks do you use to maximize your time over break? Or do you just take each day as it comes?
