Peace Perspective LI: Hopes for the New Year

My last Peace Perspective is here. Its been quite the journey. I loved this weekly check in to share some Pinterest inspiration, and my thoughts behind the photo.

Coming Year 2015In 2011, 2012 and 2013 I knew what my New Years Resolution was going to be far before the end of the year. Usually by the end of Autumn of the prior year. My streak of planning since Fall 2010 has come to close. I don’t know what I want to accomplish in 2015. Which is why this photo is how I’m ending the Peace Perspective.

I’ve embraced Peace so fully that I may have come a bit boring. Staying in and getting rest is good, but I think there are some things I’m missing while sleeping. I need to find the “good madness” and surprise myself.

Do you err on the side of staying in? Or are you adventurous and up for whatever life brings?

    • Well I’m glad 2014 was so darn good, you deserve it! And I’m sure 2015 will bring some great experiences as well!

  1. I love this quote! I am so excited for 2015. I am definitely up for adventure, but I need some sense of order, too. Can’t wait to see what 2015 has in store.

  2. I am ready for 2015 and whatever it brings. This year, like last year, I am choosing a single word to represent what I want from the new year rather than a list of resolutions. My word this year is “surrender.”

  3. katie! i swear i was thinking the same thing yesterday – about embracing peace so fully you’re a little boring. i mean, not about you, of course – but about myself. i find that i’m so content with everything that i’m happy to leave things as they are and not stir up anything/try anything new. i’m not sure i’ve ever felt this way? it’s nice, yes, but probably very boring!

  4. I hear ya–and I don’t think there’s anything “boring” about finding your peace. It’s in that quietness that your new goals & dreams will be discovered & the next chapter will take root. Happy New Year, Katie, it’s been such a joy getting to know you through your blog this year. 🙂
