Chance Chat 2015 #6: While We’re Here

Another Sunday another chance. This past week has been a whirlwind, I had Sunday Funday with the Super Bowl, and then went to the cities to see family who were in town. Missing two days of work at the beginning of the month isn’t recommended, so I’ve been paying for it by working as hard as I can, while opening and closing wordpress, because I want to blog, 3x per week, but it just doesn’t seem to be happening.

While We're Here

Each night I’ve also been at dance practice, it’s hard to believe that our last practice will be Wednesday. The season has flown by, and yet I can barely remembered when we started back in October. There were some setbacks, but each time the team came back stronger than before.

What I like about this quote is that it recognizes that things don’t always go the way we want. There will be disappointments, but instead of focusing on those things, celebrate what is good!

What are you celebrating right now? When was the last time you danced? (car dancing totally counts!)

    • Tie blankets are the best!!!! I have a guess why you were making one, and if I’m right, you made a good choice!

  1. I think the last time I actually danced was at my friend’s wedding 2 months ago. But I do sometimes do a little shoulder dance when a good song comes on the radio!

I like that quote. It reminds me of a quote that embodied the way an aunt of mine lived her life: Life is not about waiting for the storms to pass… it’s about learning to dance in the rain. She had a really tough life as she battled cancer on and off for many years and passed away last year but even though she had one of the hardest lives out of all th people in our family, she was the most positive person. She was definitely a great role model.

Right now I’m celebrating turning another year older! And today I am celebrating the fact that I have no plans for the rest of the day besides a video chat with a far away friend!

  2. Strange- but I have been craving dance lately! It so freeing to just move and let go. I danced some growing up and teach ballet and tap for a homeschool group, but I just signed up for a new dance exercise class and I’m so looking forward to it, hopefully it will fill that small void.

  3. every time you mention your dance team i immediately think “awesome! i want to teach a team!” i did dance team/gymnastics from the time i could walk until my senior year of high school, and i miss it. maybe i can get my kids to be dancers? i’ll coach? better chance that i end up with 4 strapping boys… but anyway, as far as dance – um.. i’m just trying not to fall over!!

    • You’d be a great coach! For small town life I love having something to do October – February. But if I was in the cities with more events/distractions, I don’t know if I’d want to coach quite as much. I definitely don’t have the moves/grace/skill that I used to!
