Need, Need, Need.

I have been trying to figure out a way to communicate how I’ve been feeling this winter. And She Reads Truth wrote it better than I ever could.

We need. It’s what we do all day long.

We need to sleep, we need to get up.
We need to get dressed and out the door.
We need to be on time. We need to do excellent work.
We need to eat well, treat others well, be patient, be kind, beware of dog.
We need gas to keep the car running, caffeine to keep the day running.
We even need air.

I’m thankful that I got a chance to visit my parents and brother and take a little break from Minnesota. On Sunday I took the time to start packing, do laundry, do dishes, and cook a few meals to get me through the beginning of the week.

Fort Myers Beach Florida

The last few weeks I’ve made a point of going to church, I don’t know that I will while in Florida, but I know the days away will help me recharge so I can do the final push through winter.

What do you “need”?

How do you recharge if you aren’t able to get away?

  1. I”m glad you were able to get away for a little bit. I always try to go somewhere in February because even in years like this when the winter hasn’t been that bad, I still crave a change of scenery and more sunlight! If I’m not able to travel and need to recharge, I try to spend a weekend day doing things I want to do, not things I have to do, like read, knit, bake, etc. I know what you mean about getting overwhelmed by all the things we “need” to do. It all adds up so fast and living alone sometimes makes it even more challenging because we don’t have anyone to share the chores with!
