On Leap day I attended a Bruce Springsteen concert. As I mentioned last week it was a spur of the moment decision, that I don’t regret at all.
Bruce rocked it. He’s so talented and so fit! Other musicians with a large catalogue of songs would have created edited versions of the songs to maximize time.
Not Bruce. He played each song, the whole way through, there were no short cuts, unless you count body surfing over the crowd instead of walking around the stage.
Of course anytime you’re at a concert now you realize how far technology has come. Everyone (myself included) was taking photos and video. The need for documentation and publication of events seems to have risen. Obviously I am a part of that rise.
As my life and schedule has changed I’m sharing less. Not intentionally, I just don’t make the time. I rocked on Monday, but spent Saturday doing homework, cleaning my apartment, and generally sitting quietly (other than a run). It was a good day. I balanced the alone time with attending the Gilmore Guys live show Saturday evening.
So moral of the week… Don’t Wait, Rock! But also, no shame in having some quiet time.
Was your weekend about Rocking? Or was it about the quiet?
Did you like whichever version you had?
